On-the-ground quality control in China

Multi-stage factory inspections in China, so your bulk production matches your approved samples before it ships, not after it reaches your warehouse.

Quality control happens on the factory floor, not at your warehouse door

Relying on overseas suppliers to inspect their own production is one of the highest financial risks in fashion manufacturing. By the time a container reaches your port in Dubai, Riyadh or Kuwait with stitching defects, incorrect sizing or unapproved fabric substitutes, it is already too late to fix.

Fabusse is your eyes and ears on the ground in China. Our quality inspectors check your goods in person, at the factory, to strict international AQL 2.5 standards.

  1. At the factory in ChinaDefects can still be fixedReworked or replaced by the factory, at its own expense
  2. At sea or in the airToo late to changeYour goods are already sealed in the container
  3. At your warehouse in the GCCToo late to fixReturns, discounts or stock you cannot sell

Three inspections

We inspect at three points of your production

Factory worker checking a length of fabric before cutting
01

Raw material and trim audit

Before cutting begins, we physically test fabric and hardware trims against your approved counter-samples.

  • Fabric GSM weight
  • Colour fastness
  • Shrinkage
  • Hardware trim durability

02

During-production line audit (DUPRO)

When 20% to 50% of your order is stitched, our inspectors audit the line while there is still time to correct it.

  • Seam tolerances
  • Stitching density
  • Label placement
  • Size measurement charts
Garment workers folding and bagging finished garments
03

Final pre-shipment inspection (FRI)

Random sampling based on international ISO/AQL 2.5 standards, before the container is sealed.

  • Packaging integrity
  • Carton weights
  • Needle detection
  • Final export clearance

AQL 2.5, explained

A random sample decides whether your order ships

Inspectors do not open every carton. They pull a random sample sized to your order using the ISO 2859 tables and count the defects they find. At AQL 2.5, the order passes only if major defects stay within the limit for that sample size. Above it, the order fails and does not ship.

Your report

A detailed PDF report within 24 hours

Every inspection ends with a PDF report and high-resolution photo evidence for every pass or fail point. See what happens in each case:

  1. You receive the report and photos within 24 hours
  2. Your goods are cleared for export
  3. The shipment leaves for the GCC
  1. We issue an immediate FAIL report
  2. The cargo shipment is blocked
  3. The factory reworks or replaces defective items at its own expense
  4. We re-inspect before anything ships

Questions about quality inspections

Factory inspections, AQL standards and pre-shipment reports, answered for fashion brands and importers in the GCC.

What happens if a factory fails the quality inspection?
We issue an immediate FAIL report and block the cargo shipment. The factory is required to rework or replace defective items at its own expense before re-inspection.
How quickly do I receive the inspection report?
Within 24 hours of the inspection. You receive a detailed PDF report with high-resolution photo evidence for every pass or fail point.
Can Fabusse inspect factories located anywhere in China?
Yes. Our quality assurance teams are located across the major textile and manufacturing hubs in Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Fujian provinces.
What does AQL 2.5 mean?
AQL stands for Acceptable Quality Limit. Inspectors check a random sample sized to your order using the ISO 2859 tables, and at AQL 2.5 the order passes only if the major defects found stay within the limit for that sample.
When does the during-production inspection take place?
When 20% to 50% of your order is stitched. Our inspectors audit seam tolerances, stitching density, label placement and size measurement charts while the line can still be corrected.
Do you check every garment for broken needles?
Yes. Needle detection uses metal detector screening on 100% of finished garments, so no broken needle fragments reach kidswear or fashion lines.
